Sending Your Sample

Once your sample has been prepared, it’s ready to be shipped. To ensure a quick turnaround, schedule your sequencing run with us ahead of time. We’ll provide an estimate and confirm your appointment within 1 to 2 business days.

How to ship your sample

Samples should be frozen and shipped on dry ice.
We recommend placing the 50 mL tube(s) inside of a plastic bag prior to placing on dry ice.

  • Your prepared sample
  • Your name, email and phone number

Before You Send Your sample

Before you send us your sample, remember:

Please provide an image of a 2% agarose gel or E-gel containing 1 µL of each sample. Please use a 1 Kb mass ladder as a reference standard. Clearly indicate sample identity in each lane.

The Quality of the Sample you send will affect the Quality of Data you receive.

For genomic sequencing projects, the minimum size per sample for library preparation is 600ng of double stranded genomic DNA as measured by a fluorometer. The DNA provided at a concentration of approximately 30-50 ng/μL is normally adequate.

Concentrations readings must be obtained with a fluorometer. We recommend the Invitrogen PicoGreen Assay.
